This outreach location has a focus on reaching children, as Janie and the team sets up in Harlingen on the town square once a month, alongside other vendors. We have tracts, books and Bibles free of charge available to children, Catholics and evangelical Christians to encourage them to “examine everything carefully and hold fast to that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Janie and Curt have had the opportunity to share the Gospel with countless children through this wonderful outreach they began in 2009. Although Curt is now in heaven, God has continued to provide workers to set up the booth with Janie where the children run to her and tell her they miss her whenever she is not there. Janie has had the opportunity to see many of them grow up in more ways than one, thanks to this great outreach she and Curt began with Lighting the Way.
