“LTW to the Smokies” outreach of apologetics to tourists of the Smoky Mountain National Park began in August, 2008. This outreach of apologetics is led by Claudette Litz, setting up weekly at the Sugarland’s Visitors’ Center outside of Gatlinburg, TN, as weather permits. This outreach focuses on reaching evolutionists, atheists, psychics, New Agers, children, witches, Cherokee Indians and nominal Christians with the saving Gospel. Materials such as Bibles, books, tracts and sermons on CD are free to anyone who stops, as we have conversations with people about the Gospel and why we as sinners need Jesus as our Savior. The theme for the outreach is based on Nehemiah 9:19 with a sign reading “A Free Gift for You” and “I will lift up my eyes to the hills…” (Psalm 121) to draw Native Americans, witches, and worshippers of nature over to the table where Bibles, books and sermons are available for free to lead people to salvation through Jesus. Look for us when you visit the Smoky Mountain National Park in the spring, summer or fall!
