Paul Washer gives the best sermon I have ever heard on evangelism here:
Amen, Amen, Amen!!!!!!!!!!!
This sermon will not be a waste of time. Hallelujah! I have been waiting on a sermon and yearning for a sermon like this for years. This answers the ridiculously silly questions I receive about LTW and conversions and the anti-biblical views of evangelism with which we have to contend as evangelicals who trust God in the work of salvation and not people.
Listen to this sermon from Paul Washer, an old fashioned, sound Baptist preacher and enjoy the Truth and wisdom of the Bible!
This is why in LTW outreaches we never ask someone to open the door of their heart and accept Jesus…etc…etc. We don’t count "conversions" after coerced prayers have been prayed, because that is not biblical.
I agree with Paul Washer–it is "pathetic" how far we have fallen in our view of evangelism. Praying a "superstitious prayer" cannot save. Praise God for this sermon! As Paul says "there is no such thing as a carnal Christian."
Pastor Paul Washer says, "When the Scripture is no longer what you live in and study, you have to replace the Scripture with quaint little cliches and booklets!"
I love this sermon.
[The only thing with which I don’t agree is perhaps Paul’s comment on blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. However, I have listened to this sermon 3 times within 24 hours, and I do believe it is my latest favorite sermon. I have many favorite sermons. It seems every time I hear an extraordinary "new" sermon it becomes my favorite!]
