Willow Creek Hosts Soulforce

What happens when the word of God about homosexuality is greeted with hostility at an “evangelical” church, while open and unrepentant homosexuals are welcomed with open arms? On June 8,2008, a group called Soulforce visited Willow Creek Community Church (WCCC) in South Barrington, IL in suburban Chicago. Soulforce is an activist group of proud homosexuals and cross-dressers who call themselves believers, yet they want a few in-house changes to God’s truth. Those who disapprove of homosexuality are guilty of “spiritual violence,” according to Mel White, the founder, who is an ex-speech writer for Jerry Falwell. White conceived of Soulforce after he left his wife and kids for a homosexual lover while maintaining he was still a Christian.

Warning About Todd Bentley from Former Occultist

Here is an email I received tonight from a former New Ager on Todd Bentley:

Dear Dwayna,

I realize you reach many folks. I am so concerned for the church. This "prophet" is stating the Holy Spirit told him to kick older ladies in the face with his motor cycle boots and punch people. I can’t stand it!!! Has the Christian church not discerned the Scripture that says "false prophets will come in the last days and deceive many–with LYING SIGNS and wonders"? I feel so grieved in my spirit!

Dwayna, as you know, I was in the Occult. I had a spirit of Divination (cast out of me) spoken about in Act 16:16 also known as [commonly in Los Angeles as] Python and Kundalini. These very same manifestations took place (snake like jerking and epileptic movements) while practicing TM and following Raja Neesh out in the Oregon Cult as well as doing YOGA and New Age pratices.

Jesus and Muhammad’s Words, Actions, Teachings Contrasted

What motivates fundamental Muslims to violence?

Much effort has gone into answering this. Muslim apologists are quick to point out Christians have also committed violence. Secularists suggest anybody who believes in God is prone to violence, conveniently ignoring the atheistic killings of the French Revolution, Stalin’s purges and Mao Tse-tung’s Cultural Revolution.

In an attempt to uncover motivations, founders of the world’s two largest religions can be compared. According to the www.CIA.gov World Factbook, the world’s 6.5 billion people are 33.32 percent Christian and 21.01 percent Muslim.

If a computer acts up, the technician resets it to the default settings it had when it left the factory. If followers of a religion act up, one should examine the default settings the religion had when it left its founder.

Certainty of Salvation for Faithful Moslems?

It’s no accident that radical Islam is responsible for much of the world-wide terrorism and warfare, both now and historically. This is largely because radical Islam isn’t radical at all, but mainstream, Koran-faithful and Mohammed-faithful Islam.

“The sword,” says Mohammed, “is the key of heaven and hell; a drop of blood shed in the cause of Allah, a night spent in arms, is of more avail than two months of fasting or prayer: whosoever falls in battle, his sins are forgiven, and at the day of judgment his limbs shall be supplied by the wings of angels and cherubim.” (Quoted from The History of the Christian Church, Philip Schaff, vol. 4, 171)

Occult Revival: Todd Bentley

The testimony given in this video is akin to testimonies of "Jesus" and "love" at Venice Beach from people who don’t even claim to be Christian. In talking to New Age healers at the satanic Venice Beach, you will hear the same testimonies of "electricity" and "electric shocks." Now, this occult experience is repackaged by the enemy as "Christian."

The God-Alone Hypothesis

Occam, a medieval scholastic monk, determined that the simplest theory is the best one. His reasoning has famously become know as “Occam’s razor.” Why is the simplest theory preferred? Because it explains the most with the fewest, wild leaps of faith! In line with this reasoning, Keith Ward, God, Chance and Necessity, writes:

“God is a very elegant, economical and fruitful explanation for the existence of the universe. It is economical because it attributes the existence and nature of absolutely everything in the universe to just one being, an ultimate cause…It is elegant because from one key idea—the idea of the most perfect possible being—the whole nature of God and the existence of the universe can be intelligibly explicated.”

A Better Loneliness

I was reading today in my treasured old book written by a Scottish preacher, James S. Stewart, The Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, and I had to pause when the author made an astute point about loneliness.
