Menace of the Religious Movie

Chapter 1 Why We Must Think Rightly About God:

Wrong ideas about God are not only the fountain from which the polluted waters of idolatry flow; they are themselves idolatrous. The idolater simply imagines things about God and acts as if they were true.

Perverted notions about God soon rot the religion in which they appear. The long career of Israel demonstrates this clearly enough, and the history of the Church confirms it. So necessary to the Church is a lofty concept of God that when that concept in any measure declines, the Church with her worship and her moral standards decline along with it. The first step down for any church is taken when it surrenders its high opinion of God.

Before the Church goes into eclipse anywhere there must first be a corrupting of her simple basic theology. She simply gets a wrong answer to the question, ‘What is God like?’ and goes on from there. Though she may continue to cling to a sound nominal creed, her practical working creed has become false. The masses of her adherents come to believe that God is different from what He actually is, and that is heresy of the most insidious and deadly kind.

Israel’s Feasts and Christians

"Without a doubt, the most popular scheme in our day for those who attempt to date-set the rapture is the endeavor to relate the rapture to the fall feasts of Israel. This is wrongheaded for a number of reasons, but foremost is the fact that all seven of the feasts are for Israel and occur in relation to their calendar and God’s plan for His elect nation, not in relation to the church…"

Irrepressible Life

"If you find that His life is not springing up as it should, you are to blame—something is obstructing the flow. Was Jesus saying to stay focused on the Source, so that you may be blessed personally? No, you are to focus on the Source so that “out of you will flow rivers of living water”—irrepressible life. (John 7:38)

Quoting Brian McLaren

"Why are so many religious people arguing about the origin of the [human] species, but so few are concerned about the extinction of the species?" —Brian McLaren

Well, for one, Brian, some of us actually believe God’s promises for the world and believe He will fulfill those promises.

LTW to the Smokies

“LTW to the Smokies” outreach of apologetics to tourists of the Smoky Mountain National Park began in August, 2008. This outreach of apologetics is led by Claudette Litz, setting up weekly at the Sugarland’s Visitors’ Center outside of Gatlinburg, TN, as weather permits. This outreach focuses on reaching evolutionists, atheists, psychics, New Agers, children, witches, Cherokee Indians and nominal Christians with the saving Gospel. Materials such as Bibles, books, tracts and sermons on CD are free to anyone who stops, as we have conversations with people about the Gospel and why we as sinners need Jesus as our Savior. The theme for the outreach is based on Nehemiah 9:19 with a sign reading “A Free Gift for You” and “I will lift up my eyes to the hills…” (Psalm 121) to draw Native Americans, witches, and worshippers of nature over to the table where Bibles, books and sermons are available for free to lead people to salvation through Jesus. Look for us when you visit the Smoky Mountain National Park in the spring, summer or fall!

Kicking the Kingdom into High Gear

"God has His hand on America to bring our nation back into its proper alignment. A major key to making this happen is the formation of the U.S. Apostolic Alliance. Few have the clear, practical vision and the passion for mobilizing our nation’s apostolic and prophetic leaders, region by region, than Apostle Dutch Sheets. I am excited to be a part of Dutch’s apostolic team, and I believe we are going to witness giant steps toward seeing our land reflect the kingdom of God in very near future."

Who’s Guiding the Olympic Vision?

This article deals with the history and globalist purpose of the Olympics – a reminder of its aims to stir the imagination and instill an interfaith worldview in the minds of viewers. Working with the world leaders such as Kissinger, it fits into the vision of a new world order. Here are the first two paragraphs:

Ancient myths, human might, a massive marketing system!. These visible signs of the modern Olympics stir the imagination and draw the masses. They also hide the global politics and the cold-hearted pragmatism behind the scenes. For Olympic masters celebrate the strong and mighty, but they show little compassion for the poor and weak, whose homes are razed to build stadiums, beautify surroundings, and impress visitors.

The history of the Olympics takes us back to about 776 B.C. — the apparent birth of the original Greek games — when superstitious mortals worshipped ancient gods on Mount Olympus. This extended family of promiscuous deities was ruled by Zeus and birthed by Gaea (Gaia), supposedly the mother goddess of all.

Abraham didn’t exist?

Abraham didn’t exist? Moses a myth?
Archeological and historical evidence of Biblical accuracy

‘The Bible’s Buried Secrets,’ a PBS documentary to be aired in November, seems designed to undermine the Bible. Not only does it demote Abraham and his descendants to the realm of mythology, it also dismisses the Exodus and denies any written Old Testament record prior to the sixth century B.C.

We shouldn’t be surprised at this unscientific assault on the Bible. As Professor William F. Albright, archeologist and head of Palestine’s American School of Oriental Research, observed, ‘The excessive skepticism shown toward the Bible… has been progressively discredited. Discovery after discovery has established the accuracy of innumerable details….’

"Dr. Paolo Matthiae, Director of the Italian Archeological Mission in Syria… discovered ‘the greatest third-millennium [from 2500 B.C.] archive ever unearthed.’ It included ‘more than 15,000 cuneiform tablets and fragments’ and unveiled a Semitic empire that dominated the Middle East more than four thousand years ago. Its hub was Ebla, where educated scribes filled their ancient libraries with written records of history, people, places and commerce."
